Our client is a recognized North American leader in manufacturing and they are seeking their next Scheduler based in London, Ontario, to ensure that labour is scheduled in accordance with production requirements.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Follow production schedules and staffing guidelines to create employee schedules.
  • Update staff schedules daily and respond to employee shortages.
  • Identify personnel scheduling constraints and raise awareness with various stakeholders.
  • Address labour scheduling issues and respond to employee concerns and requests around scheduling.
  • Work with a computerized scheduling program.
  • Organize and complete annual vacation bidding.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve labour scheduling processes.
  • Provide assistance and expertise in terms labour planning.
  • Provide assistance to employees with forms, scheduling information, general requests.
  • Document filing and maintenance of employee notice boards.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Navision would be an asset.
  • Experience in labour scheduling of large manufacturing processes.
  • Has worked in related manufacturing where there are large hiring waves based on increased lines of production.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and make impartial decisions in accordance with policies and procedures.
