MacDonald Search Group is proud to partner with a diversified Vancouver Island company in their search for a General Manager to provide leadership for one of their busy liquor/wine stores in Victoria. What you will be doing:

Providing leadership to a team of up to 15 Associates
Working closely with the leadership team to lead day to day operations
Providing guidance on consultative sales ensuring your team has strong product knowledge and are motivated to go the extra mile
Sharing your particularly strong wine knowledge with your team
Supporting decisions on product offerings
Supporting leadership team with financial and strategic planning for your store

Who you are:

You have at least three years' experience providing leadership in a liquor/wine store environment
You have outstanding wine knowledge and have your WSET Level 2 (or equivalent) at a minimum.
You have outstanding communication skills
You are a natural people leader and love to help others achieve their career aspirations
You have experience with budgeting and are able to interpret financial information to help make sound business decisions
