MAINTENANCE MANAGER

This Western Canadian success story is expanding into a new Vancouver operation. As the North American diet evolves and plant-based options are more relevant on grocery shelves, our client is looking to bring on a Maintenance Manager to their BC-based team. In this role, you will be a key part of maintaining all production equipment. Closely working with the Plant Manager you will maximize efficiency and mechanical performance. Responsibilities:

  • Leading role in ensuring a safety-first culture and supporting the site’s health and safety program
  • Oversee plant maintenance including facilities, utilities, and operations
  • Responsible for all maintenance department metrics.
  • Drive maintenance deliverables as assigned with the planning, assessment, installation, and testing of new equipment, methods, and/or products
  • Ensure all maintenance aspects of equipment meet food safety standards, HACCP and SQF
  • Assists with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer-term capital budgets.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related technical field
  • 10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry
  • 2+ years of experience supervising and providing direction to a team
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite) and a solid understanding of data analysis
  • Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
  • Strong organizational skills including logistics, time management, and scheduling
