Product Development Manager – New York

As the company continues to grow, they are looking to add a Product Development Manger to the team in New York. Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborate with various teams to take ideas from concepts and prototype to high volume production
  • Central role working with stake holders from company’s 28 offices around the world
  • Think creatively like a designer while utilizing your mechanical, materials, electro-mechanical or mechatronic engineering skills to solve technical challenges
  • Lead a team of engineers to manage multiple products and meet deadlines and targets
  • Predict, investigate, evaluate and solve project issues while maintaining communication and escalating to teams and departments when necessary.
  • Strive for innovation in materials, production process and technology.
What our client is looking for:
  • Minimum of 8 years in a Product Engineering / Product Development role.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Tremendous ability at costing and feasibility studies
  • Experience dealing with global manufacturing would be an asset
  • Must be creative, collaborative and an above average communicator
  • Ability to travel to vendors and manufacturing sites in Asia and Europe.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and handle pressure
  • Excellent presentation and computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage and influence others
