Our client is a national wine & spirits agency that represents some of the most iconic brands in the world. The team is expanding, and we are looking for driven team players. Reporting to the General Manager Ontario, this Marketing position’s mandate is to increase the sales and market share of the portfolio of brands in line with the expectations of the company. It is responsible for both trade and consumer marketing budgets.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Build annual plans identifying brand objectives, strategies and KPI’s
  2. Work collaboratively with marketing, cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
  3. Maximize channel opportunity through effective strategic planning for off-trade, on-trade and eCommerce
  4. Work with LCBO Category and Product Managers to grow assigned brands. Manage promotional planning and portfolio expansion
  5. Execute marketing programs across multiple channels while ensuring deliverables are in line with brand strategy
  6. Project management ensuring all programs are successfully executed and performance measured
  7. Manage and track brand health through regular reporting both internally and to key stakeholders. Analyze brand and category trends, market developments and create strategic plans to drive success
  8. Effective oversight of price positioning in the market, category and within the brands
  9. Support in the development of digital and channel plans for the agency

Job Qualifications:
  • Experience: University degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or equivalent discipline and/or minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales or management of a large wine & spirits portfolio. Consumer and trade marketing experience in an outside industry is also an asset. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the LCBO with existing relationships.
  • Skills: a Driven team player with strong interpersonal skills. Strength in strategic planning, sales and excellent written and verbal communication. Skilled presenter with the ability to adapt to audiences. Must be highly organized and have experience with project management. Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn and adopt new programs.
  • Knowledge: Expert knowledge of the liquor industry (wine and spirits products, as well as government policy and regulations, is preferred). Successful completion of wine and spirit courses is desirable (e.g.: WSET) and will be required if hired.
