Our client, an asset light, same day, final mile service provider focused on dedicated and distribution services is seeking an influential and professional individual with business development experience and an entrepreneurial spirit to join the Business Development Team!

They are looking for a National Account Manager responsible for turning opportunities into partnerships and fostering both prospective and current clients for long term retention and organic growth.

The ideal candidate is one who sees opportunity in every interaction, revels in the challenge of driving business growth through excellence in customer management.

Responsibilities:
  • You will work in partnership with our current and future customers to define and execute a winning growth strategy and service excellence.
  • You are an energetic individual who is action-oriented and has a strong track record at delivering key metrics including but not limited to Net Revenue, Gross Profit, Market Share, and Forecast Accuracy.
  • Develop and drive broad customer relationships across all levels with a key focus on building relationships at an appropriate level within the customer.
  • Nurture an effective sales pipeline by identifying growth opportunities with existing and new facing clients.
  • Analyze data to understand, react and capitalize on client and market trends
  • Ensure KPI’s are being delivered for our customers·
  • Be a trusted ambassador, network and conduct business in a manner that aligns with the core values of the company
  • Liaise with Business Development team and Marketing on lead generation opportunities and brand awareness.

Qualifications:
  • Customer-facing account management experience with proven sales techniques in a solution-based business model
  • Skill set to convert leads into sales, Track record of networking success
  • Strong communication, presentation, and story-telling skills.
  • Delivering results and you excel at problem solving
  • Understanding multiple customers, go-to market strategies, structure, and business practices
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
  • You like technology and have strong technical ability with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Working knowledge of TMS and/or CRM systems would be a strong asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or minimum of five years of related work experience in a business development capacity within the transportation or warehousing sector
