National Account Manager - West, Pharma & Nutraceuticals

Due to growth and expansion, they are currently seeking a National Account Manager (NAM) based in Western Canada (BC, or the Prairies). The NAM drives the success of the Sales department by managing key accounts in the Nutraceutical, OTC, and RX Channels, fostering client relationships, and driving growth. It also contributes to the development and execution of sales programs, aligning strategies with company goals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.


This role is fully remote and offers a base salary (60-90k based on skills and experience), strong bonus program, mileage, benefits, RRSP matching program and the chance to make your mark in a rapidly expanding company!


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a sustainable, profitable business model for the company’s Canadian customers
  • Create account sales plans, manage budgeting, and develop strategic approaches to achieve revenue targets
  • Contribute to sales forecasting by analyzing market trends and historical data to drive growth and decision-making
  • Exceed sales and profit objectives annually, growing customer share and distribution points
  • Provide business, sales, advertising, and educational support to key accounts in the Canadian market
  • Negotiate terms, develop proposals, and manage contractual agreements with new and existing accounts, ensuring strong financial outcomes
  • Ensure consistent coverage of key accounts based on agreed frequencies
  • Coordinate account and market activities, including launches, communications, and key metrics with departments like Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain
  • Act as an internal account champion, ensuring clear, regular communication across key company stakeholders

Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales with a track record of success
  • Previous experience in Key Account Management and industry-specific knowledge (pharmaceutical or nutraceutical ingredients) is essential
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel for data management, as well as proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics + sales tools
  • Basic understanding of market tracking information, including Nielsen data
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel internationally as required
