National Marketing Manager - Premium Spirits

This role is a unique opportunity to work on some of the world's leading luxury & premium spirit brands. Are you looking for National scope and International brands to apply your Marketing experience?

Based in Toronto and reporting to the Executive Vice President, this position will also work closely with the Brand's Canadian market Directors and the Brand's marketing department. This challenging position is responsible for the following key tasks;

  • Develop and implement annual national brand marketing plans consistent with international guidelines;
  • Manage day to day marketing activities, national events, communications, itineraries and assist as required in regional projects;
  • POS material ordering and local development;
  • Budget control and tracking;
  • National marketing initiatives coordination with PR firms and national press;
  • Manage product allocations;
  • Brand reporting and global sharing of best practices ,report on major competitive activities;
  • Validate the regional marketing plans;
  • Main contact with marketing department within the Brand and working with Country directors
  • Assist in training efforts with the trade and sales staff as necessary;
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or higher, Marketing majors preferred;
  • Five years of sales and marketing experience preferably industry related;
  • Strong knowledge of the Premium Spirits industry is a plus;
  • Experience and knowledge of the marketing policies of Canadian Liquor Boards is very desirable;
  • The position requires moderate to high levels of domestic and international travel - valid passport a requirement;
  • Moderate amount of evening and weekend event related work schedules,
  • The ability to prioritize, work under tight deadline pressures, multitasking, are key skills required for this position;
  • Well developed interpersonal communications skills in negotiating, team building, and customer service;
  • Fluent written and spoken English, French is an added asset;
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills for diverse audiences;
  • Strong analytical, organisation and multi-tasking capabilities, able to meet tight deadlines;
  • Above average skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
