OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of intelligence and application solutions in the automation space. Due to a pending retirement, they are looking for a National Sales Manager based out of the GTA.

SUMMARY

In this role you will manage, support, and grow Canada’s sales of all serial components/products and configurable applications nationwide. This includes leadership of the national sales strategy, managing the direct regional sales employees, ensuring an effective team-selling culture of application-based technologies/offerings, and serving as the primary field liaison with Authorized
Distributors within their defined geographic territory.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, manage and execute strategic sales plans to meet current and future sales requirements. Coordinate with other sales and operational teams as required.
  • Coach, develop, and lead a growing team of 10+ high-performance sales professionals across a wide geographical distance – both individual contributors and managers. Provide clear objectives and performance guidance. Identify areas for improvement individually and for team relations.
  • As a member of the Canadian Leadership Team, contribute actively to the resolution of organizational issues, promote healthy organizational culture and cross-functional collaboration and participate in required people leader activities.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the company.
  • Responsible for training sales staff with regard to both sales techniques and product knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a regional or national sales leadership position.
  • Strong Technical aptitude in Industrial segments such as; controls, electrical/mechanical, sensors, factory automation an asset.
  • Proven track record of sales leadership through increased market share, profitability and employee development.
  • Post-secondary education required!
