Our Client is a global leader in Specialized Chemicals. Due to a retirement they looking for their next National Sales Manager. These products are used in various applications that would include; pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food as well as industrial applications, This new NSM will direct & manage the industry-focused sales teams nationally.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain direct account responsibility for a manageable number of key accounts and provide back-up for leaves and as required.
- In conjunction with our Principal Managers, ensure that the business plans for each of our product lines are clearly understood by the sales team.
- Work with the sales team to prepare account plans with target accounts, and review and update progress on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure members of the sales team have a complete technical understanding of the product lines and customers they are servicing.
- Manage and review the performance of each direct report.
- Ensure the company maintains a high profile and professional image through active participation in industry association and trade shows.
- Ensure all active and potential accounts have an assigned sales rep.
- Assist in the preparation of annual sales forecasts.
- Assess individual training requirements for each direct report and implement training as required.
- Monitor and approve sales budgets and expenses.
- Post secondary education in Chemistry, Science, Chemical Engineering or Technical related required.
- Experience in one of the industrial markets these applications serve (eg. Coatings, Rubber, Plastics, Construction).
- Experience in Chemical or closely related Manufacturing or Distribution.
- Competency in Sales Management Systems (CRM) and Microsoft Office or equivalent.
- Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Proven track record of driving sales teams to success.
