National Training Manager

Our client is one of the fastest-growing franchises in Canada, they are currently looking for a National Training Manager to ensure that franchisees and their teams are well prepared to undertake and maintain a successful franchise.

Responsibilities:
  • Support new restaurant openings and product launches
  • Provide ongoing training, identify learning needs, and create up to date training programs/materials
  • Oversee existing program materials and approve training content
  • Oversee the training team, work collaboratively with regional training teams, franchisees, and restaurant management to meet learning needs
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment
  • Maintain a high degree of skill and experience in teaching others by working hands-on in the corporate restaurants
  • Assess performance and provide feedback to trainers
  • Monitor the effectiveness of all training programs, and update leaders on training results
  • Prepare and ensure delivery of training updates to franchisees at training and corporate events
  • Conduct regular training team meetings
  • Proactively work with the management team to identify opportunities and resolve issues within training programs
  • Ensure the training team assists head office staff in menu testing activities, as needed
  • Additional tasks as assigned by management

  • Able to identify learning needs, develop and deliver training programs
  • Build/lead a team of training professionals, including coaching and developing direct reports
  • High energy, motivational training style
  • Patience in teaching new skills and reinforcing learning
  • Excellent creative abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Suite, etc. and web-based systems
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • Strong problem resolution and influencing skills required
  • Ability to balance and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Superior guest service and a passion for providing an exceptional guest experience
Knowledge, Experience & Education:
  • Minimum 2 years in a Training & Development leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Experience in a virtual learning environment
  • Post-secondary education, preferably related to training and facilitation, general business courses, or equivalent
  • Experience in a Quick Service restaurant environment is an asset
  • Bilingual (French/English) skills are an asset
  • Home-based role with some traveling, up to 20% of the time, within Canada
  • Able to work a flexible schedule on occasion which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • A valid Driver’s Licence is required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
