North American Sales Manager, Hydroponic Lighting Products

Our client has been at the forefront of today’s indoor growing for several decades. With a commitment to provide the best possible indoor horticulture lighting for home based growers, our client designs and manufactures products that are easy to use and perform flawlessly.

The National Sales Manager will direct, oversee and execute sales strategy for Canada and the United States. This role will manage distributor relationships and be the lead for key account strategy and execution. The role will drive revenue through existing sales channels, work with distributor partners in both countries and manage relationships and key accounts.

The perfect person for this role is the hungry, humble and smart revenue generator who can present to a boardroom or an in-field rep and be an advocate and ambassador for the company.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Manage Distributor Partners in Canada and the United States.
  • Manage internal sales rep knowledge of the product and be an key ambassador for the brand
  • Work with marketing to establish programing, pricing, incentives and sales targets
  • Presentations to Distributor sales teams
  • Work in trade with Distributor Sales reps to drive new business
  • Attend trade shows and develop action plan for trade show results.
  • Act as the primary contact for Distributor Partners & Key Accounts/buying groups
  • Sell to existing and potential key accounts & provide sales support to sales reps in closing / presentations
  • Provide ongoing feedback on competitive landscape including opportunities that exist in market
  • Development of a strategic plan to achieve sales growth targets and expand customer base
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • Distributor Management and Key Account Management experience
  • History of coaching, mentoring and development of a sales people
  • Bachelor’s degree or better
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to providing a great customer experience and transitioning customer to win/win partnerships
  • Ability to travel 40% to US and other parts of Canada
  • Role is home based, candidates may reside in Metro Vancouver or the GTA
