If you bring combined experience of leading office administration with managing relationships with tenants and other functions related to the real estate world, this is a great opportunity to play a key role with a small but talented team as they lay a foundation to become a significant player in the Canadian real estate development industry!
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the CEO, Controller and the Director of Acquisitions and Development in their day-to-day activities
- General office administrative duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments and in-person/virtual meetings, scheduling travel, replenishing office supplies and stationery, greeting visitors
- Supporting the research and assessment of investment and development opportunities
- Preparation of documents for applications to municipal governments and contracts with project partners
- Filing and managing key legal documents
- Communication support with external architectural, construction, and design partners
- Supporting accounting and finance functions
- Managing relationship with commercial tenants including lease preparations, collection of rent, helping to troubleshoot day to day issues and delegating appropriate tradespeople
- On occasion, acting as host to local and international investors, driving them to active and potential development projects/sites
- Special projects and various other duties as required
- You have at least five years’ experience as an Office Manager/Executive Assistant ideally in an environment related to real estate management/development
- You possess knowledge of activities related to property management
- Ability to support basic accounting functions
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- You have outstanding spoken and written English communication skills
- You have a relevant degree or diploma
- You have a class 5 driver’s license
- You are flexible and are willing to occasionally provide support outside of “normal” office hours
