On Premise Sales Specialist:

The Role:
In the role of On Premise Sales Specialist you will be working in Downtown Calgary and area and you will be part of the dedicated Alberta Sales Team. The successful cnadiate will be responsible for the development and execution of educating our on premise customers. With a focus on cocktail bars and mixology. The On Premise Sales Specialist role will be measured on their ability to deliver short term and long-term sustainable profit and volume growth for our client while delivering against the specific needs of their customers.

The territory is metro Calgary but also includes Cochrane, Bow Valley and Airdrie Alberta. Downtown Calgary is the focus.

Purpose: To grow brand awareness through community partnerships and events. Promote our client as a destination for visitors, events and tourists
  • Events – Outside
    • o Develop relationships to participate in events for brand exposure
    • o Develop and monitor community partners for participation in events ie Folk Fest, Stampede etc.
    • o Focus on events that provide brand exposure and awareness
  • Events – Inside
    • o Work with our Food & Beverage Manager to promote and develop events for groups and corporate clients. Sell event concepts to potential visiting groups
    • o Work with our Food & Beverage Manager to promote and develop public events (ticketed events) that attract visitors to the distillery
    • o Create potential events for brand promotion
Role Requirements:
  • Management skills and charisma
  • Impeccable personal presentation, communication skills, organizational skills and integrity.
  • An exceptional love and interest of the world of cocktails, mixology and bar tending.
  • Self-confidence, energy, enthusiasm and an inherent sense of urgency.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a zest for continual improvement
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to work under pressure while complying with all relevant legislation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Closing skills. Conducting tastings and attending trade events are a must.
  • You must be able to work as a self-starter, but also be team focused.
  • Diploma or degree an asset.
  • Two years’ experience in either Food service or retail alcohol sales
  • Pro-serve and Driver’s license are essential.
  • Understanding of the product, placement, price and promotion.
Reports: Sales Manager

Team: Works closely with Sales Manager/VP, Marketing Coordinator/Specialist, and Food and Beverage Manager

Compensation includes a base salary, bonus structure and an expense account. The compensation is market competitive and will reflect the experience of candidate.
