Operations Manager

Our client is in the transportation and warehousing industry, managing the logistics aspect of their customer's businesses out of the Lower Mainland, BC.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager would oversee the day to day operations of a fast paced, high volume, customer service focused logistics and distribution business.

Responsibilities –
  • Oversee shipping and receiving schedules to review and anticipate issues and conflicts with the plan
  • Work with the owner to coordinate and manage inbound, outbound shipments and inventory in 250,000 sf warehouse
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional departments in planning and process development and implementation around facility efficiency
  • Coordinate with the GM to ensure the plan is prioritized and processes are in place to best service their customers requirements
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications –
  • Post secondary education in Logistics, Operations or Business would be an asset
  • 2-3 years working in a logistics, transportation and warehouse environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot to ensure the business operates efficiently
  • MS Office and computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
