Our client, a leading provider of building supplies and accessories is growing and looking for an Outside Account Manager to join their team in Ottawa. The ideal candidate is responsible for growing the customer base and product lines within the designated territory. The majority of this role will be spent on the road, building new relationships and driving business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop product strategies for assigned products including business cases, recommendations, and requirements
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
  • Prepare projections by customer and/or product lines
  • Establish the needs and purchasing history of all accounts assigned and all new growth customers
  • Introduce and train customers on the benefits of product lines
  • Provide competitive information for developing marketing strategies and programs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge of sales process
  • Building materials sales experience an asset
  • Ability to find new business and manage an existing client base
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Outstanding work ethic and high level of ambition
  • Highly motivated with unprecedented drive for results
