Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Planner/Scheduler is responsible for building and maintaining an accurate and efficient production schedule while balancing supply chain and production requirements, managing material availability, and resolving operational challenges.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Using SAP, build and manage detailed production schedules that intergrate labour, equipment, maintenance inputs and customer requirements.
- Proactively identify potential risks to the production schedule and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to problem solve and avoid production disruptions.
- Facilitate weekly scheduling meetings with Supply Chain and Production Operations.
- Develops appropriate metrics and tracks and analyzes data, creating action plans to ensure customer/business needs are met.
- Provide support and backup to other production colleagues responsible for shop floor planning activities.
- Proactively highlight issues that could impact the schedule and lead efforts to eliminate or minimize delays.
- An Undergraduate degree or equivalent is required.
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively manage project timelines through direct and indirect influence.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including lean/six sigma skills is an asset.
- Ability to influence and deliver results through others.
- Technical understanding of Quality systems, Regulatory guidelines, and distribution requirements.
- Microsoft suite experience.
- APICS Supply Chain Designations CPIM or CSCP or Related Fields with 3 to 5 years related experience within Supply Chain.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or health sciences environment is an asset.
- Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems.
