Our client provides top-quality products, brands, and services to the consumer goods market with operations in both Canada and the US. They are currently looking for a detailed-oriented Procurement Manager to join their growing team in Toronto. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Procurement Manager will build, manage and optimize the procurement function and will manage the supply of goods and services along with cost containment and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a Procurement Process from the ground up.
  • Focus on managing strategic Vendor relationships.
  • Creating vendor qualifications and KPI measurement tools on vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor risk analysis and determine appropriate action.
  • Effectively manage stock levels for replenishment and inventory lead times.
  • Provide processes, standards, and training to ensure employee contractor, and supplier awareness of all legal and ethical standards.
  • Identify and execute cost-savings opportunities.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business (specialization in Supply Chain Management/Logistics and/or MBA is an asset)
  • 3+ years experience in a procurement/supply chain or purchasing role; experience in the pharmaceutical and/or CPG (consumer packaged goods) industry is a must
  • Certified Professional Purchaser (C.P.P.), or completion of the educational program of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is an asset
  • Highly organized as well as strong communication & presentation skills.
