Product Group Manager

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this senior management role based in Vancouver and will be is responsible for Operations in Western Canada. Our client, a global testing and certification organization with over 100 employees in Western Canada working in multiple branch locations. In this role, you will manage the day to day delivery of high-quality certification and testing services.

  • Manages all aspects of the Product Safety Engineers and Technicians
  • Determines and initiates actions required to improve service delivery.
  • Cross-functional responsibilities with IT, Finance and technical departments.
  • Responsible for identifying problems and providing the best solution from policies and procedure
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining customer on-time and on-budget performance.
  • Develop the operating budget items for the assigned product group.
  • Support Safety Policies and Procedures

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in an Electrical Engineering field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of managerial experience including people management.
  • Minimum 5 years of certification or equivalent technical experience preferred.
  • Proven success in managing a team of junior staff and preparing/conducting performance reviews
  • Provide solutions that result in high quality and timely service
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external customers, auditors, QA Managers, and technical staff
