We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead operations as a Production/Manager for the night shift with our growing consumer packaged goods leader. This position is responsible for overnight supervision of production staff to achieve required production in a safe manner while maintaining quality standards.

Key Requirements
  • Responsible for / assists in the supervision, performance management, health and safety, training, and scheduling of production staff.
  • Strong leadership ability to provide coaching, mentoring, and training to direct reports, including safety training, performance appraisals, professional development, and strategic alignment to company goals and objectives.
  • Analytic ability to understand production line efficiencies regarding labour, machinery, and production methods.
  • Works with production and maintenance staff to resolve work problems and strives to continuously improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity while minimizing downtime.
  • Supervises production staff to ensure product quality and integrity and ensures all packaging materials and finished product meets or exceeds customer specifications.
  • Responsible for action taken or action plan required for compliance with departmental audits such as JHSC, HACCP, and BRC.
  • Strong discipline and focus towards achieving KPI's; able to develop, review, and maintain metrics.
  • Experience in using the Lean toolkit on a daily basis (Root Cause Analysis), and acts with a sense of urgency.
Experience & Education
  • This position is on the night shift, but flexibility is required to cover other shifts when necessary.
  • A technical or operational-focused diploma or degree from an accredited college or university is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of production experience in progressive leadership positions.
  • Knowledge of BRC and HACCP would be an asset.
  • Experience in Food, Beverage, or Pharmaceutical production is desirable is Required!
