Our client is a food production company in the meat and protein processing space.
The Plant Manager provides overall leadership and direction for daily production operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and results-driven work environment grounded in humility and teamwork. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on support across all areas of the plant, including abattoir.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily plant operations, including production, processing, packaging, maintenance, and shipping activities.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, HACCP, sanitation, animal welfare, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production schedules to achieve customer demand, productivity targets, and cost objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and plant employees to promote a safe and productive work environment.
- Maintain high standards for product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Post Secondary in Food Science, Agriculture, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in food manufacturing or meat processing operations - abattoir experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
