PROFIT CENTRE MANAGER

Our client is the global leader in the plastics manufacturing and distribution industry. They have over 85 locations in North America and over 13 plastics brands that operate independently. They are currently searching for a Profit Centre Manager in Calgary, Alberta. This individual will be responsible for the sales, management, warehouse operations and P & L of the Profit Center which is a highly decentralized and autonomous environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hiring and Leading People: Fosters quality focus in others; Improves processes, products and services; Continually works to improve supervisory skills.
  • General Business Acumen: Displays orientation to profitability and return on invested capital; knowledge of market and competition; Aligns work with strategic goals.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute on a sales and business development plan to achieve revenue goals and increase commercialization.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations;
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills: Listens to others; Remains open to others' ideas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post secondary education preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of people management experience is required
  • Self-motivation, ambition, high energy, creative self-starter that is goal oriented
  • Strong presentation, time management communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated competence in computer usage including Microsoft Office
