Electrical/Mechanical Project Coordinator- Halifax
Job description
An experienced Electrical/Mechanical Project Coordinator will provide coordination and administrative support to the Projects Department.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Entering Purchase Orders, Vendor Invoices and Billing Invoices.
  • Reconciling and identify discrepancies to purchase orders.
  • Prepare and issue invoices for customers both digitally and manually when requested.
  • Ensure accuracy of time and material costs for customer invoices in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy and data entry of vendor invoices.
  • Maintain digital databases and records for project cost reporting.
  • Provide reports to projects team for Progress and Time & Material billing creation.
  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of job specific files.
  • Answer inquiries from internal and external clients.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years related coordinator and administration experience.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
  • Solid Communication skills with proficiency in speaking and writing in English.
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, ability to meet deadlines & prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the billing process for government contracts would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in both a service based and project-based billing industry.
  • Comfortable with the construction industry setting and use of terminology. NBCC or NSCC Construction Diploma a huge asset
  • Currently legally entitled to work in Canada
