Our client is a leading national wine and spirit agency with a host of recognizable worldwide brands. They take an entrepreneurial approach to business and growth combined with a win-win customer-first attitude.

They are presently seeking an ALBERTA SALES MANAGER – who has the knowledge and experience from at least 3 years in the beverage/alcohol or FMCG industry

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Working to establish annual Alberta sales and budget objectives
  • Directly manage the large accounts Costco, Sobeys, Loblaw
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, development, motivating, and coaching of all members of the Alberta sales team
  • Working internally & cross-functionally with marketing, finance, insights to create strategies behind pricing programs, promotional support, new listings, merchandising programs, and product initiatives.
  • Establishes measurable performance metrics and conducts ongoing business reviews to ensure accountability.
  • Three direct reports include 2 Territory Managers and 1 Key Account Manager
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 3 years of management experience in an FMCG industry
  • Established relationships within the key retailers is a strong asset
  • Exemplary people management and leadership with a strong business acumen
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to turn analysis into effective strategies - fact-based selling approach
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of urgency
  • Be positive, energetic, and comfortable in an open, dynamic, and collaborative company
  • Excellent oral and written communication. Must be Bi-lingual in French & English
  • Possess post-secondary education, preferably in business.
