Our client is a leading manufacturer of power tools, they are looking for a Part-Time Tool & Inventory Clerk in Ottawa to join their team.
The Part-time (and temporary) Tool & Inventory Clerk is responsible for the inbound and outbound processing & handling of all company products as well as spare part handling duties for the Service Operations Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receives all inbound packages for Service Operations Department, moves pallets/packages to workstation area for processing.
- Outbound phone calls and emails to dealers and end customers for quotes, repair information, and payment information
- Opens, pre-cleans, inspects contents, assess condition, and stages inbound tools into numbered inventory control bins, trays, and tags.
- Creates Repair Orders (RO) for all received tool types in system, and assigns control bin/tag/tag numbers.
- Creates new end-user master files in system for first-time customer receipts. Interacts with Customer Service on any duplicate, missing, or questionable customer master data issues.
- Responsible to stock replenishment orders in proper locations as well as deliver special orders directly to Technicians.
- Performs inventory counts, and reports results.
- Escalates replenishment parts issues.
- High School diploma.
- Preference toward previous experience in a technical/repair customer service capacity.
- Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to handling and caring for customer inventory.
- Experience with Microsoft programs.
- Team player mentality, ability to work harmoniously with different personalities and roles.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English is required. Able to speak, read, write, and comprehend French is a plus.
- Analytical thinker with good problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
