Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Monitor inventory inbound and outbound using inventory systems.
Advise departments and business units of the lead time required to obtain products or services.
Inventory control and review of slow moving inventory
Inventory reconciliation with counts and order stock inventory based on requirements and min / max.
Work with vendors on new product and sourcing projects.
Negotiate or oversee the negotiation of purchase agreements.
Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
Review requisitions orders for accuracy and verify available inventories.
Support logistics and customer service.
Receive the orders in MRP.
Develop and implement purchasing and inventory process improvements.

Requirements:

2-3 plus years’ experience in a similar role
Post-secondary education in business, supply chain or operations
Proficient with Excel
Strong attention to detail
Proactive and able to work independently, problem-solve, assess urgency
Strong negotiation skills
