Our client is an iconic new BC winery based in Oliver and they are currently looking for an energetic wine enthusiast to join their team as the lead for their food & beverage operations, including the restaurant lounge, outdoor patio, catering, events, VIP rooms, tasting room, and amphitheater.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in:
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring service standards to ensure that a high quality of production and service is consistently maintained, leading to overall guest satisfaction and retention
  • Mentor staff, setting short and long-term goals, encouraging staff to excel in the company and the industry
  • Conduct ongoing research of trends in the food industry to ensure the creative and effective planning and writing of menus
  • Ensuring food safe practices are enforced, and financial targets are met
  • Other responsibilities include budgeting and financial planning
Key Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise providing outstanding hospitality
  • Exceptional knowledge of Food & Beverage (wine, spirits, beer, and coffee)
  • Superior management/leadership skills with several years of hospitality experience, preferable in a high-end establishment
  • Completion of WSET Level 3 (or equivalent) an asset
  • Experience using a reservation system such as Opentable or Tock
  • A strong understanding of finance & budgeting
  • Knowledge of provincial liquor licensing and legal compliance issues related to the operation of a restaurant
