Sales Executive – Seafood

Our client is a leader in local seafood production and moves incredible volumes of fresh and frozen salmon around North America. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing customer relationships throughout the retail grocery, and food distribution channels. Working remotely you will service accounts across North America.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Sales and marketing of salmon to North American and some international customers.
  • Selling to, servicing and managing performance of seafood distributors.
  • Establishing relationships, negotiating sales agreements and overseeing execution with North American retail customers.
  • Providing customer service
  • Coordination and completion of deliveries, including logistics, documents, etc.
  • Contact between its customers and our processing plant.
  • Reporting sales and logistics data
You should have most of the following in your background to apply:
  • Post-Secondary education
  • Past experience in a fast-paced environment executing amid time pressures
  • Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business sense
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with a variety of personalities
  • Track record of success in a performance organization
  • Food retail, food service and experience dealing with distributors
  • Experience in negotiation and conclusion of contracts
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Structured and organized
  • Strong IT skills
  • This role requires some work outside normal business hours
