Sales Manager – Cannabis Expansion!

For the past six years our client has been a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Cannabis in Canada. This means working with healthcare providers, retailers and industry organizations, supporting research and education, and providing a safe, effective product.

In preparation of the Ontario retail launch, they are looking for a REGIONAL SALES MANAGER based in Greater Toronto Area. Reporting to the Director of Field Sales, you will be responsible for managing and developing an team of 6-9 sales representatives. You will be charged with achieving the Ontario region sales key performance metrics and driving corporate strategy and initiatives. This is an exciting fast-paced sales environment for a qualified individual that has a relentless passion to foster, develop and motivate a sales team, drive awareness and education in a fact-based manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruit, motivate and drive a sales team
  • Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
  • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
  • Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team members
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members
  • Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed
  • Meet with Key clients throughout the Ontario region
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, or related field
  • 5+ years Consumer Packaged Goods and/or Beverage Alcohol and/or Tobacco industry experience an asset
  • Proven track record in successfully motivating sales teams and driving excellent results
  • Exemplary communication, product knowledge, problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Managing time & prioritizing activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
