Sales Manager - Consumer Goods

Our client is a progressive leader in their space, working towards becoming a certified B Corp. With a long standing legacy of excellence, they are seeking to find a candidate to take on the role of Sales Manager handling the sales team throughout the West.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Leading, developing, motivating, mentoring and managing a team of seven Sales Representatives and one Coordinator through a geographic territory including the North Shore, Whistler and Richmond
  • You will have to set expectations and goals and resolve conflicts and challenges in order to maintain exceptional employee relations
  • You will need to be a good listener and speaker to help customers and employees understand your directions and recommendations
  • Assisting Sales Representatives with contract negotiations pricing and developing customer relationships
  • Financial management of the territory including factors such as cost, profitability, pricing and the creation of the sales operating budget
  • Analytics – you will take the sales numbers and analyze them to find weaknesses in the system, cost saving opportunities and redundancies
  • Implementing best practices that translate into improved customer service
  • Providing leadership and coaching to staff, employee development
  • Providing flawless service to customers; resolve issues with a dissatisfied customer or entertain high value clients
  • Participating in food shows, sales meetings and sales promotions
  • Comfortable working in a KPI driven environment

  • Ability to create a great team environment
  • Strong sense of accountability and initiative, you’re quick and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literate
  • 5+ years of senior experience in food-related sales
