Some of what you will do in the role of Sales Manager:
  • Spend 50% of your time in the market coaching & motivating team members
  • Train, coach, mentor & develop sales team
  • Market & sell construction materials within the Okanagan marketplace
  • Develop & drive market plans, customer management plans and ensure a competitive position is established, maintained & improved
  • Target new accounts & cultivate existing customers to expand market presence
  • Participate in sales forecasts & creating annual budgets & targets
  • Collaborate with operations and quality teams to develop action plans to meet industry standards
Some of the Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company within industry associations & functions
  • Review market conditions regularly & report on sales mix, prices & volume
  • Identify in tandem with Area Managers strategic opportunities across all lines of business
  • Lead the strategic and tactical activities to help increase revenue
What is required for this role:
  • Degree in business/marketing, trades or equivalent sales management experience
  • 5+ years experience in the construction industry
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Dynamic, flexible, goal-oriented and results-focused leadership
  • Excellent time management and critical thinking
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Occasional travel throughout the Okanagan
