They are currently seeking a full time Sales Representative who is results driven, and passionate about wine! The ideal candidate is based in the Fraser Valley and is responsible for both retail and on-premise sales in their assigned territory.
This role offers a competitive base salary, commission, car allowance, 3 weeks holiday to start, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make sales and promotional visits in the defined territory to licensees, retail stores (both government and private)
- Attend meetings, trade shows and promotional events as and when required
- Provide wine consultation and make sales to private groups, licensed trade, special occasions, conventions, etc by way of educational seminars, discussions and tastings
- Manage all expenses and promotional budgets
- Keep proper records of receipt and distribution of all promotional wine samples
- Log sales activities in CRM daily
Key Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education from a recognized College or University
- 1-3+ years of experience in a consumer goods industry in a sales position. Past experience working in the Western Canadian wine market preferred
- Wine knowledge and a passion for wine is a must. Minimum of WSET level 2 (or equivalent) is required; level 3 preferred
- Strong business acumen and ability to build strong relationships
- Team player mindset
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales execution strategies as well as market and competitor analysis
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrates leadership, initiative and a drive to win
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
