Sales Representative - Grocery

Our client is a pre-eminent grocery manufacturer in the Canadian marketplace, selling well known brands to grocery, convenience, and mass accounts throughout the country.

Due to increased sales performance (even with Covid related challenges) they are seeking a career growth minded high performing sales representative to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the sales process within Greater Vancouver for independent and chain customers. You will manage all customer inquiries, while developing/growing existing business and prospecting new customers for the assigned territory.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Selling at or above your target dollar volume of products, introducing new product listings, ensuring new product distributions, enhancing display and promotional load ins
  • Seek out opportunities in conjunction with your accounts to grow your sales
  • Conduct business reviews with your accounts to ensure mutual buy in of objectives
  • Develop a territory management business plan that takes advantages of opportunities and addresses deficiencies
  • Become the expert on your business needs in your territory
  • Communicate with your accounts and merchandising staff to set up product demos, tastings, and in-store activations
  • Manage a sales investment and travel budget
In order to apply, you should have the following in your background
  • Some post secondary education
  • Experience in an outside sales role
  • Freely able to travel throughout the territory on a daily basis
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English, along with strong fluency in technology, specifically MS Office and CRM programs
