Sales Specialist

Our client is the global leader in measuring devices to end user firms (laboratories, production facilities etc) and various engineering firms. They manufacture, sell, and service instruments that detect, measure, and weigh - from the infinitely small to the largest of vehicles or airplanes. They are currently seeking a Sales Specialist based in Calgary, Alberta who will support and sell core weighing instrumentation to include bench-top scales, floor scales to weigh modules integrated into customer applications.. You will support both direct customer and various sales channel partners within the defined territory. Overall, you will ensure increased revenue and profitability for the company through effective sales activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
❖ Growing sales and achieving targets for the product line by working together with our national distribution partners and directly with our customers
❖ 60% of focus “hunting” for new customers and 40% "farming" existing customers
❖ Organizing, planning and scheduling selling time to effectively cover the assigned territory
❖ Maintaining inventory of demo-related items and demo budgets
❖ Maintaining the highest level of integrity while building long-term relationships

QUALIFICATIONS:
❖ Worked in sales with at least 3-5 years of related experience in weighing equipment, automation etc.
❖ Led accounts and maintained relationships with a distribution network
❖ Established yourself as a trusted leader with vision in a related field by analyzing customer problems, mastering product knowledge, and differentiating from the competition
❖ The discipline to maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) system daily and complete necessary weekly reports
❖ Post secondary education required either Engineering or Technical education
❖ Excellent relationship-building skills to create trust with customers and synergy with dealers
❖ Experience using SAP's CRM system would be a plus
❖ Overnight travel estimated at 40%.
