Sales Specialist

Our client is looking for a Sales Specialist based in Edmonton, Alberta responsible for promoting advanced solutions to defined accounts within the academia and process chemistry market segments. This requires having an understanding of workflows and their impact on customer key challenges around productivity, throughput, quality and cost. The focus will be on Automated Reaction Chemistry products (AutoChem). The job responsibilities also include:
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prospects new opportunities through cold-calling and face to face interactions
  • Seeks out "new start ups" to help grow our business
  • Conduct on-site customer value product demonstrations and/or presentations
  • Follow up on daily incoming leads within specified time frame
  • Provide timely quoting to customers and continuous follow up
  • Actively works in collaboration with other sales team members to gain access to targeted accounts, drive cross-divisional leads and sales
  • Actively works to improve the quality and completeness of data within the CRM while utilizing the tool to manage all aspects of the sales process and pipeline for their territory
  • Maintaining the highest level of integrity while building long-term relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
  • MSC degree in technical discipline (Chemistry is preferred), PhD Candidates preferred.
  • 3 years of sales experience, preferably in technical instrument sales , or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of hazard analysis and other process chemistry applications.
  • Experience with ERP and of CRM systems, SAP preferred,
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S; 50% travel required
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
