Security Systems Service Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a wide range of electronic security systems for commercial customers. This role will involve responding to service calls, performing preventative maintenance, completing small projects, and providing technical expertise to ensure customer systems operate reliably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and program complex electronic security systems.
- Respond to scheduled maintenance, service, and emergency customer calls.
- Complete system commissioning, upgrades, repairs, and replacements as required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers and field teams.
- Prepare accurate service documentation, reports, and job cost tracking information.
- Mentor and support junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Build strong customer relationships by delivering reliable, professional service.
- 5+ years of field service experience within electronic security systems, access control, or related technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, CCure, AMAG, Kantech, or Avigilon is an asset.
- Solid electrical and mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service requirements.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Electronics diploma, relevant trade experience, or industry certifications are considered assets.
