As a Senior Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping product offerings, driving sustainable practices, and ensuring commitment to excellence is reflected in every culinary experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Establish, maintain and provide expert knowledge of assigned category including national sales tracking and reporting, category insights, market trends, consumer needs and competitive threats
  • Manage the day to day business processes for the brand to ensure effective and efficient business management to deliver budget commitment - responsible for analytics on category including sales performance, market dynamics, forecasting, product mix, profitability
  • Develop plans and programs that will maintain and drive future sales for the category, specifically, determining category and product positioning, establishing sales targets and pricing strategy and inputting assumptions to Finance and Supply Chain to forecast future sales
  • Develop category plans by incorporating market, shopper, customer, and consumer insights to inform Pricing, Promotion, Product Assortment and Placement
  • Provide recommendations on innovation items and ensures alignment and communication of category priorities with cross-functional team (R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance)
  • Analyze and decipher data and information to create selling strategies and stories through data based research
  • Partner with sales team to identify and capitalize on key opportunity areas in new or existing customers and channel
Key Qualifications include:
  • Post secondary degree, preferably in business or commerce
  • Min. 8 years in a similar role, with experience working with AC Neilson / marketplace data in analytical capacity
  • Entrepreneurial and creative ability to decipher data into sales strategies & stories
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts and category / brand management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess the success of marketing programs and campaigns based on data and research
  • Understanding of industry specific trends and processes including consumer packaged goods
  • Strong initiative and ability to think outside of the box in fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and working relationship with team including internal and external customers
