Senior Planogram Project Manager

Our client is a market-leading retailer with a best-in-class space management software bundle. In this role you will perform three critical functions: 1) ensure the successful implementation of the software to all team members 2) act as a mentor and process expert to ensure the effective usage, training and development of all team members 3) You will lead the team and liaise with the merchandising team to drive the annual category review process.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Supporting the build out of the architecture, business requirements, data cleansing and then the end-to-end process designer to prep for the role out of Blue Yonder Category Management software.
  • Identifying the best merchandising solutions, clustering, product positioning, and space management Partnering with Merchandising Leadership to set the Visual Merchandising strategy.
  • Leading the design activities from concept, requirements gathering, data gathering, creative design thinking, and prototyping to support the actual in-store deployment.
  • Training and developing the Planogram Designers to ensure they understand assortment and visual design techniques.
  • Training and developing the Planogram Designers in understanding Category performance metrics, customer shopping behaviour and shopper insights.
  • Overseeing team in defining and providing robust analytics and insights for assortment planning and optimization
  • Communicating merchandising strategies to help educate both the Category Management team and Field and Store Operations on driving sales through “Best in Class” product presentation guidelines.
  • Reviewing and analyzing marketing data to integrate supplier ideas to develop best-in-class planograms and display plans.
  • Analyzing competitor’s category techniques and market trends to bring new innovative concepts and ideas.
  • Creatively merchandising product and identifying sales opportunities in order to maximize sales.
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing sales, market trends, demographics, customer shopping data, and competitor assessment data and formulating recommendations to improve customer experience, drive sales and expand margins.
  • Proven experience in successfully building and developing a visual merchandising team.
  • Proven experience successfully creating and designing merchandising product displays.
  • Expert knowledge/experience with JDA, Blue Yonder Category Management, Assortment Optimization, Channel/Store Clustering, and Space Planning tools (or other similar platforms).
  • Experience conducting advanced analytics on space, category, assortment and item productivity and profitability.
  • A clear understanding of Visual Merchandising and Category Management concepts.
