Our client is a leader in the automotive services industry and is looking to add a new Millwright/Service Technician to their growing team.

The ideal candidate is proactive and focuses on service delivery and customer satisfaction. They are a great communicator who can work collaboratively in a team environment while being focused on delivering top-quality deliverables. They will collaborate with technical and operations teams to address maintenance priorities while minimizing the impact on production and ensuring optimal wash quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Regional Operations Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Service Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Monitors wash quality and inspect equipment operation at assigned sites.
  • Continuously monitors wash results and equipment function, adjusting as required to ensure optimal wash results while documenting all observations through Jolt.
  • Manages spare parts inventory at assigned sites, which includes ordering and inventory counts.
  • Performs regular preventative and impromptu maintenance lists and tasks as assigned in Jolt and Microsoft To-Do (by the site Operations team).
  • Assists in the enhancement of our preventative maintenance program. Ensures all necessary preventative maintenance tasks for all equipment are included in Jolt.
  • Coordinates all maintenance initiatives and activities with the site Operations Team and provides visit summary to the Site Manager in writing.
  • Coordinates all 3rd party maintenance with our service providers as needed.
  • Assists in the design, installation, and commissioning of equipment and layouts at existing and new sites as required.
  • This role is based in the SW ON area with the possibility of traveling to other regions as needed.
  • On-call and after-hours work is required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Red seal experience is an asset but not required.
  • Highly adaptable with strong interpersonal skills like time management and collaboration.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of equipment safety standards.
  • Experience using PLC’s is an asset.
  • Experience with MIG and stick welding.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
