Strategic Development Representative



Our client is one of Canada's leading national distributors of plumbing, mechanical, heating and cooling systems for the residential, commercial and industrial markets. They are looking for a Strategic Development Representative based in Calgary, Alberta.

This is a full-time entry level position, where you will learn hands-on and receive the guidance, mentoring, and support you need to be successful in your career. You need to be hard working, great with people and able to work collaboratively in a team environment. The manager is committed and interested in investing in you – teaching you the business and the industry from the ground up.

Development Plan, Responsibilities and Duties:
Phase 1 – Warehouse Logistics – You will learn the products we sell and how they get from the vendor to the customer and actively participate in the warehouse logistics role to understand and provide sales support.
Phase 2 – Operations – You will actively get involved and learn our front-line customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more…
Phase 3 – Inside Sales/Project Management – Over time you will go from helping customers with various customer service issues to managing large-scale, time sensitive projects.
Phase 4 – Outside Sales/Account Management – You will learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships.
Phase 5 In this phase, you can take all of your training and determine your ideal career path.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary Education preferred
  • Positive attitude and results oriented mindset
  • Work well in and support a team-based environment
  • Work well with minimal supervision
  • Must possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in technology: computers, mobile communications, Microsoft and Windows software
  • Must have a valid Canadian Driver’s license with clean abstract
