Our client is a successful manufacturing and distribution business, based in the Burnaby, BC area. They are looking to add a Supply Chain Manager to their team

About the role –

The Supply Chain Manager will provide strategic leadership to the Supply Chain with a heavy focus on planning, procurement and distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities –
  • Oversee and lead the purchasing team, planning, logistics, warehousing and customer service.
  • Design, propose and implement a suitable purchasing strategy to coordinate with production plan.
  • Ensure inventory levels are satisfactory in order to support goals of sales department and expectations of customers
  • Planning and working with production to meet customer demand.
  • Work with third party warehousing and transportation companies, including rate negotiation
  • Support departmental budget
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications –
  • 5+ years in a supervisory / management experience in supply chain
  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree, SCMP or APICS considered and asset.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven track record.
  • Proficient with computer software - incl. MS Office and ERP system experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation abilities.
