Our client is a successful, third generation family business in the manufacturing and distribution business, based in Abbotsford, BC. They are looking to add a Supply Chain Manager to their growing organization.

About the role –

The Supply Chain Manager will provide strategic leadership to the Supply Chain with a heavy focus on procurement and inventory management.

Duties and Responsibilities –
  • Oversee and lead the purchasing team
  • Design, propose and implement a suitable purchasing strategy.
  • Ensure inventory levels are satisfactory in order to support goals of sales department and expectations of customers
  • Managing the inventory levels and developing applicable KPIs to report accurately.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for slow moving inventory
  • Oversee and derive departmental budget.
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications –
  • 5+ years in a supervisory / management experience in procurement and inventory management roles.
  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in an applicable area required. SCMP or APICS considered and asset.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven track record.
  • Proficient with computer software - incl. MS Office and ERP system experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation abilities.
