Our client, a world-wide leader in providing hardware solutions and innovation across several industries, is seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager. With close to 100 years of manufacturing experience and a growth mindset, specifically in Canada, they are looking for a dynamic end-to-end Supply Chain leader to join their team in Burlington.

The Supply Chain department is the key driver of procurement, inventory management, and logistics. You will be the people leader for the Supply Chain team, and will leverage your extensive knowledge to coach and mentor your them.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee inventory management process, ensuring goods/materials meet demand and avoiding overstock
  • Develop, lead and execute long-term procurement strategies to support growth and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with vendors, and internal teams to identify and implement opportunities for supply chain efficiency improvements
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring that all buyers are meeting their personal performance goals and standards
  • Coordinate inbound sea and air, as well as in-country freight logistics
  • Negotiate pricing with service partners
  • Ensure customs and audits compliance
  • Engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and mentoring and training accordingly
Profile:
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Relevant experience in managing inventory and supply chain planning as the leader of a team with direct reports
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to coach and develop a team
  • Strong analytical skills required and a data driven mindset
  • Knowledge of supply chain cost management (e.g. freight, customs)
  • Familiarization and experience with inventory & procurement KPI’s & metrics
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively; present information and direction professionally
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office
  • SAP experience is a strong asset
