Supply Chain Specialist


Our client is a fantastic manufacturing organization who is looking to find a Supply Chain Specialist for their Richmond based operation.

This role will handle the day to day supply chain functions for this manufacturing company, overseeing procurement, inventory (raw material and finished goods) and supporting forecast management, working closely with the sales, operations and warehousing teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Procurement, including sourcing and acquiring quotations as required
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring product levels are maintained and reporting inventory risks to Operations
  • Work with warehousing and logistics department to ensure inbound product freight costs are managed and product is received in on time and accurately
  • Create forecast plan
  • Work closely with Operations / Production to ensure inventory is in stock
  • Lean manufacturing and 5S audits as required
  • Manage within KPI metrics for the position

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience working in a Supply Chain / Procurement role
  • Diploma, Degree or Designation in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, APICS
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong understanding or MS Office (Excel specifically) and working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Detail oriented, organized, with strong problem-solving skills
