Our client is a privately owned Canadian company focused on providing sales and service in three key categories within the foodservice and food processing sectors. Although we began in the Ingredients business about 80 years ago, we are equally strong as Packaging and Equipment sales agents to the foodservice, food processors and distributors.

We are entering an exciting new phase of our company and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Professional to join our Ontario team!

Responsibilities include;
  • Strategic development and implementation of effective Company sales and marketing programs for the assigned Sales Area.
  • Attends and participates in all sales meetings, trade shows, and company functions as required.
  • Executes on sales promotions, operational plans, policies, and goals as required.
  • Liaise with the customer service team for marketing, pricing, and delivery as required to ensure customer satisfaction with products and services.
  • Participates with Finance Lead, Sales team members to build an annual plan/forecast for volume growth objectives and determine sales plan for assigned territory.
  • Responsible for the effective performance of sales functions within assigned area.
  • Prepares and conducts business reviews with key clients as required
  • Oversees and rolls out the implementation of any new or existing products or product lines.
  • Completes required reports and related documents promptly and accurately.
  • Establishes and maintains good business relations within the customer base and vendor representatives including independent end-users, key accounts, and distributors.
  • Responds to customer requests and resolves problems. Follows up on all notices for action and new account opportunities.
Education, Knowledge and Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in food distribution, retail, or wholesale environment. May include but not limited to food service hospitality, food service distribution, food manufacturing, food processing, food science, Ingredients, bakery industry, non-foods, paper/packaging.
  • Related Post-Secondary education preferred and/or equivalent related sales experience.
  • Good level of industry expertise and in-depth industry knowledge. Knowledge of internal functional businesses an asset.
  • Working knowledge of sales forecasting, programs, promotions, and related techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of overhead, margin and company profitability
