TERRITORY MANAGER

Our client has been in the industrial products industry for the past 50 plus years, selling into the resource and manufacturing sectors. With a Western Canadian head office, we are looking to add to our growing sales team and we are looking for a Territory Manager to cover the Lower mainland. Responsibilities:
  • Determine the primary purchasing contacts in assigned accounts.
  • Implement a program to reach new customers in target areas.
  • Expand the customer’s knowledge of company’s products and capabilities.
  • Obtain bid requests for our products with customers.
  • Provide guidance to the inside sales staff in the preparation of the quote.
  • Determine, in consultation with the Branch Manager, the margin to bid.
  • Deliver a clear understanding of the customer requirements to the inside sales team.
  • Be involved in the process of project progression, inspections, delivery, and payment of projects.
  • Recognise opportunities to buy and sell used equipment where the opportunity exists
  • Sales budgets and forecast for the business units is a key requirement
  • Gross margin requirements across all product lines
  • Opening of new accounts
Qualifications:

  • Strong people oriented drive and integrity
  • An ability to understand technical concepts
  • Well organized in the work place with respect to timing, computer skills and document flow.
  • An ability to prioritize work events and work to self and customer imposed deadlines for information.
  • Team player, excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
