Residential Territory Manager

The Residential Territory Manager is responsible for effectively acquiring and managing assigned accounts to support Residential Single Family and Multifamily Builder conversions. The ideal candidate will actively search in the territory for new relationships with key decision makers within accounts to secure a greater share of the business. Utilizing prospect selling skills, the candidate will also drive for results while developing strategies to facilitate market expansion.

What You Will Do:
  • Drive dramatic growth for our Residential Products in assigned territory.
  • Work closely with Builder Account Manager to ensure that accounts are equipped to support builder conversions – including pricing, programs and required stock.
  • Establish territory Business Plans.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and other analysis to be able to make recommendations that will improve our business performance.
  • Provide accurate and reliable information pertaining to the assigned territory.
  • Meet monthly requirements for territory and expense reporting, ensuring that they are accurate and on time.
  • Manage the sales process through effective CRM management and team communication.
  • Ability to effectively manage key accounts and prospect/develop new accounts to support our builder demand creation initiatives.
  • Maintain a strategic understanding of market conditions and be able to adapt to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Maintain excellent industry and territory knowledge and trends by reviewing and understanding market data of competitive activity. Adapt to change in the marketplace.
What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or equivalent years of experience
  • 5 to 7 years of sales experience with a focus on account management and territory business development preferred
  • Prospecting with strong solution selling skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Team player, positive attitude, and learner
  • The ability to multi-task and handle various priorities
  • Experience in the Builder Channel and New Home Construction Industry is preferred
  • Consultative solution sales background is preferred
  • Experience with residential door hardware is preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with an estimate of 25% travel
