Our client is an environmentally friendly alternative for the building supply industry. This is a high touch, mission-driven sales role, with sustainability and 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) element built-in. This role can be based anywhere in Northern California and has geographic responsibility for Northern California.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
- Introduce product assortment to new and existing clients across the territory for which you are responsible
- Client types would include building supply stores, hardware stores, lumber yards, independent home improvement stores
- Advocate the mission of the company in each call
- Physically write and transmit orders in each store call, ensure customer satisfaction, and ensure that products arrive on-time, as described
- Conduct product knowledge sessions with store staff
- Organize and attend customer facing shows / demonstrations / events to educate and inform about the products
- Be a product and company advocate in your territory
- Uncover and engage new business while ensuring your existing business is well cared for
You should have the following in the background:
- Post-secondary education
- Direct Store Delivery sales experience in CPG, B2B, DIY
- Clean(ish) drivers abstract and clear criminal record
- Ability to travel throughout your territory daily, and travel internationally on occasion
- Professional demeanour and a connection to environmental sustainability and an interest in home improvement
