Territory Sales Representative - Natural Food Products - California

Our client manufactures and distributes a variety of plant based, veggie leading products throughout North American grocery retail. With an unrelenting passion to get more veggies on consumer plates, your role is to represent their product line through California based retail accounts on a broad scale. You will conduct consumer sampling, events and put together a communications campaign (think Red Bull Media but for veggie products) across the state. You will build relationships with opinion leaders and key influencers, and will leverage business to impact the hearts and stomachs of the consumer!

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Drive the companies strategies and philosophy by becoming the local face of the brand
  • Influence store decision making with product listings and get the products on shelf in the right place
  • Secure secondary and tertiary display
  • Sell more of the products through your excellent sales and account management skills
  • Create and support local key events, scenes and marketing opportunities e
  • Ensure that every consumer experience with the brand is positive, thanks to love for the detail and premium execution at events and all other field marketing activities
  • Engage in local marketing events and activities (eg: trade shows, concerts, events etc.)
  • Build a top-notch network and sustainable relationships with the key influencers of the region (health and wellness influencers, fitness enthusiasts and opinion leaders) relevant to our target
  • Ensure digital and social media sit at the heart of every field marketing activity.
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • Post-secondary education
  • Passion for a veggie forward lifestyle
  • Consumer product / food / beverage / cannabis / sales experience
  • Excellent networking and relationship skills
  • Strong can do attitude who would excel in a start up environment
  • Creative with a flair for the socials and the way they work
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to travel widely across the state and internationally
