Our client is an up and coming, specialized service trucking company. A family business that has grown from a few trucks to over 75 trailers and 30 company owned trucks. With all this growth they are now at the point of needing someone fantastic to lead and manage the daily activities of the shop at their Calgary terminal. This opportunity has incredibly strong potential to provide significant career growth and advancement over the coming years.
As a successful candidate, you are a strong leader and coach, responsible for managing teams of technicians in the daily activities of the routine basic truck and trailer service department. We are looking for a leader with previous experience managing people, dealing with vendors and outside shops, reviewing hours, labor and materials planning.
Experience: Our client is looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience in either a Service Supervisor or Shop Supervisor role from an industrial or commercial equipment, truck or heavy equipment shop. You will need to possess very strong mechanical ability and knowledge but not necessarily hold a technician certificate. Your ability to plan, organize and lead people is much more important!
