For over 25 years, our client has been a leader in their field in building products with sales throughout North America. Due to continued growth, this award-winning manufacturer has created a new position on the executive team. They are adding a VP of Business Development to help them continue to grow at a rapid pace. Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Ownership of the distribution network from a structure, sales & service standpoint
  • Manage the sales network, network structure and ensuring excellent customer experience in the field
  • Coach, lead and mentor business development staff
  • Develop, manage and achieve budgets and sales forecasts
  • Gather, communicate and be the voice and advocate for all business partners
  • Create a relationship with and add value to all independent dealer/distributor partners
  • Act as a Key Account Manager for strategic accounts
  • Be an active member of the leadership team
What We’re Looking For Includes:
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related field
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching and motivational skills
  • 10+ years of experience in Senior Leadership role
  • Experience in the building products world
  • Detailed knowledge of distribution networks and a broad understanding of manufacturing
  • Key account management experience with large-scale retailers and e-tailers
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • A positive and professional disposition
  • The ability to travel 30 – 50% of the time
