Vice President of Sales - Eastern Canada

Our client is an equipment leasing company that specializes in restaurant and hospitality equipment financing. Looking ahead to a robust future in hospitality post-Covid, our client is seeking a strong leader to ensure the success of their seven person team into the future. This role reports into the President and is home based out of the GTA. Travel is expected to be 50% plus when safe to do so.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Serve as a key member of the Canadian Leadership team and add value to the overall national and global corporate strategy
  • Overseeing the Eastern provinces, promoting the brand, execute and deliver financial results while maintaining expense budgets
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with dealers and brokers
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Support credit analysis and structuring for large deals
  • Use market data and applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to the sales team ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Develop a strong team through recruiting, training, mentoring and coaching the sales staff
  • Embrace corporate commitment to positive social and environmental impact and support the corporate purpose of helping people achieve their dreams
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • College or University degree in commerce, accounting or equivalent body of experience
  • 5-10+ years experience in financial services
  • 5+ years experience managing a sales team
  • 5+ years proven business development experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial, commercial self-employment or equipment funding advantages
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to build and execute on effective short- and long-term plans that result in Sales growth
  • Strong business acumen; effective presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with employees from a variety of levels and departments within the organization
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven negotiation skills along with sound judgement
  • Experience with salesforce CRM
