Vice President of Sales

In this high impact Vice President of Sales role, you will invest 80% of your time in the field with your team setting tone, direction and providing leadership and coaching your direct reports. Your travel will be through Western Canada and the GTA. This position is remote based and can be located anywhere in Western Canada or the GTA. You will be managing a high visibility brand with a multi-million dollar sales accountability and a team of over 100 with approximately 15 direct reports. Success in this role will mean a long, stable career with potential progression upwards, and a significant remuneration.

Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • maintain, enhance and deepen existing relationships while increasing sales
  • evaluating and developing robust sales management strategies, plans, practices and methodologies
  • drive internal alignment between commercial division, retail division, Marketing and Executive team
  • diplomatically influence the business and the senior management team on sales/sales strategy and culture
  • invigorate the sales culture
  • represent the voice of the customer
  • lead by example and call on specific key target key accounts
  • analyze, recommend and implement optimization strategies for sales operations
  • recruit, train, motivate and retain for all sales positions
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • strong post secondary education and a commitment to lifelong learning
  • an innate understanding of marketing and selling services (as opposed to products) in a business-to-business (B2B) with 15+ years of experience in a large and complex organization
  • the ability to negotiate, manage and nurture long-term contracts and service agreements through complex, medium term sales cycles
  • a proven, measurable track record in key account management, team building, sales operations and championing a successful profitable sales culture
  • ability to become known as a key problem solver in the organization
  • strong collaborative mindset, experience in building a strong team with 100+ members (direct reports ~ 15)
  • strong data management and analytical ability
  • deals effectively with commercial and technical complexity coupled with flexibility and adaptability and personal and emotional resilience
  • brings a sense of urgency, is self-motivated, results-oriented and disciplined with high energy and stamina
  • Ability and interest in accommodating unencumbered travel requirements
