Our client distributes a range of industrial products and building materials used in industrial applications, along with residential, commercial and institutional construction. They have asked Sean Baker of MacDonald Search Group to assist them with the recruit for a Warehouse Manager.
This is not a big box, high volume pallet in pallet out facility. You will have experience with a very dynamic inventory and a large assortment of sku’s. You have experience in the full scope of functions of receiving, put away, picking, returns management, shipping, inventory replenishment, logistics management and freight costing. Your experience from a very manual process site without the use of RF or scanning equipment will assist you in managing this facility.
Responsibilities:
- Managing high value and wide variety inventory of goods
- Performing continuous improvement activities where possible to reduce order cycle times, increase productivity, reduce damage and improve overall efficiency of the warehouse.
- Facilitating the delivery of goods to customers
- Planning and managing through fluctuations in business based on seasonality and client projects
- Ensure industry safety and health standards are followed
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education or industry certification is an asset
- 8+ years of management experience in a fast paced and dynamic warehouse environment
- Solid leadership and management skills of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Above average time management and organization skills
- Ability to analyze and provide results
